(WSIL) -- The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting 1,381 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, and eight new confirmed deaths.
Monday’s reported fatalities bring the statewide death toll due to the virus to 8,179 since the start of the pandemic. There have been 250,961 confirmed coronavirus cases during the same period.Â
Some health departments in southern Illinois were closed for Labor Day, but a few were reporting new coronavirus cases.
Franklin County:
- Females: One teenager, and one in their 30’s.
- Males: One teenager, and one in their 20’s.
To date, there have been 380 laboratory confirmed positives in Franklin county of COVID-19, including one related death. Of these positive cases, 239 have recovered in Franklin county.
Jackson County:
- Females: One teen and one in 20s
- Males: Two teens, two in 20s, and one in 70s
Health officials say the are currently monitoring 181 active cases. The county has had a total of 1,091 confirmed cases to date, including 23 related deaths. Health officials add 887 individuals released from isolation.
JEFFERSON COUNTY
- Female: One teen, one in 20s, three in 50s, and one in 60s
- Male: One in 30s, one in 40s, one in 50s, one in 70s and one in 80s
There have been 515 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Jefferson County. Jefferson County Health Department says 41 active cases are currently in isolation.
RANDOLPH COUNTY
- Four new cases
There have been 811 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Randolph County, including eight deaths. Randolph County Health Department says there are 100 active cases, including 47 Menard offenders.
Saline County:
- Male: One in his 50s
To date, Saline County has had a total of 188 lab confirmed positives, including three deaths.
Williamson County:
- Females: Three teenagers, one in their 20’s, five in their 30’s, one in their 50’s, one in their 60’s, two in their 70’s, and three in their 80’s
- Males: Three teenagers, one in their 20’s, four in their 30’s, one in their 40’s, and one in their 50’s.
To date, there have been a total of 1085 laboratory confirmed positives in Williamson county including 23 related deaths. Of these positive cases, 564 have recovered in Williamson county.
