New COVID-19 cases reported Friday

(WSIL) -- Nearly two dozen new cases of COVID-19 were reported in southern Illinois Friday.

Franklin County

  • Female: One in their 20s, and one in their 30s
  • Male: One in their 60s

There have been 43 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Franklin County. Of those, 18 have recovered.

Hardin County

  • One male in his 20s

¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Seven Health Department says this is the second case of COVID-19 in Hardin County. The other individual has since recovered.

Jackson County

  • Female in her thirties
  • Male –Two in their twenties

To date, there have been 345 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 19 deaths, in Jackson County. The health department says 21 active cases are currently being managed.

Jefferson County

  • Female: Two in their 30s
  • Male: One in his 50s

There have been 120 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Jefferson County. Eleven active cases are currently in isolation.

Perry County

  • Male in his 50s

The newest case brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in Perry County to 62, including one death. Six cases are currently active.

Randolph County

  • Two new cases for Friday, July 10

Randolph County has had 301 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including seven deaths. There are currently 11 active cases.

Saline County

  • Female: One in her 20s and one in her 60s

There have been 16 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Saline County. Egyptian Health Department says the individuals are each at home and in isolation.

Union County

  • Two females in their 70s

There have been 199 cases of COVID-19, including 17 deaths, in Union County. According to ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Seven Health Department, 41 cases are currently active.

White County

  • Female in her 20s

This is the ninth confirmed case of COVID-19 in White County. Health officials say the woman is at home and in isolation.

Williamson County

  • Female: Two in their 40s
  • Male: One in their 20s, one in their 40s and one in their 60s

In Williamson County, there have been 147 cases of COVID-19, including four deaths. Of the positive cases, 88 people have recovered.

On Friday, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced 1,317 new cases of COVID-19, including 25 additional confirmed deaths.

Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 151,767 cases, including 7,144 deaths, in Illinois.

As of Thursday night, state health officials said 1,436 people in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. Of those, 306 patients were in the ICU, and 155 patients with COVID-19 were on ventilators.
