INDIANA (WSIL) - As expected, Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb is keeping Indiana in "stage 4.5" for another month.
Effectively, nothing will change.
The stipulations of Gov. Holcomb's "Back on Track" plan for "stage 4.5" will remain as they were previously.
That means restrictions on bars and restaurants will remain the same.
Holcomb said Indiana will stay in this stage through Aug. 27
The state still has a state-wide face covering order in place as well.
"As you've seen, the daily number of cases has increased," Dr. Box
On Wednesday,  630 more Hoosiers tested positive for COVID-19, and 8 more have lost their lives to the virus.
Dr. Box said the state's ventilator capacity remains steady.
The state's top health official said the online COVID-19 dashboard will be updated to reflect the difference between new individuals getting tested and total tests administered. The dashboard will also have a new map showcasing the 7-day positivity rate by county.
Gov. Holcomb also said the moratorium on evictions from rental properties and the prohibition on filing foreclosures will be extended through Aug. 14.
Gov. Holcomb noted the death of  who died early Wednesday in South Bend. He was 74.
"We lost a good man. We lost a trusted man. A loyal man," Holcomb said.
"He had a loving toughness. A grit about him that I will never be able to relate to."
