CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- The 45th annual Autumnfest Arts and Crafts show at John A. Logan College has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The popular event, featuring vendors with food, crafts and holiday-themed items, was originally set for Nov. 14 and 15.
College officials announced the cancellation Wednesday.
“We have carefully followed the Illinois Community College Board’s Guidance for the Return to Campus for Illinois Community Colleges, the Governor’s Restore Illinois Plan, as well as guidance by the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control,� said John A. Logan College President Dr. Ron House. “Unfortunately, as was the case with Hunting and Fishing Days, there are just too many concerns about having a large multi-day event on campus.�
John A. Logan College says the 2021 Autumnfest Arts and Crafts show is tentatively scheduled for Nov. 13 and 14, 2021.
