Carbondale Officially Welcomes New Restaurant with Ribbon Cutting

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Carbondale Chamber of Commerce will welcome a new restaurant to the city with a grand opening and ribbon cutting at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 26.

is a new Indian restaurant located at 715 North Giant City Road.

The grand opening event is open to the public.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the owners and enjoy a taste of Carbondale’s newest Indian cuisine.

“We are thrilled to welcome Tandoor & Tadka to Carbondale,� said William Lo, Director of the Carbondale Chamber of Commerce. “We are excited to have another restaurant in our community, Carbondale loves diverse foods and locally owned restaurants and we are excited that Tandoor & Tadka chose Carbondale to open their doors.�

Navi Lubana, owner of Tandoor & Tadka said, “We chose Carbondale because of the strong student population and the community's desire to eat good Indian food. We wanted to share our culture and diversity through our hospitality and good food. �

The restaurant began a "soft opening" in August.

The Carbondale Chamber of Commerce invites everyone to attend the ribbon cutting to celebrate this exciting new business.
