MORGANFIELD, Ky. (WSIL) -- A witness is sharing what she saw during a standoff at a motel in Morganfield, Ky. that led to an arrest.
Hope Duncan, a worker at Long John Silver's across the street from the Hometown Inn, said police came into the restaurant and instructed customers and staff to stay away from the windows.
"They told everybody that was coming in to move our cars," Duncan said. "They told us that we need to [move back] just in case something happens and we didn't get shot."
Duncan says police drew their guns around noon, ensuing in a standoff. She described police taking Alexander McWilliam into custody.
"I saw smoke... And then he came out in his boxers," Duncan said. "He was kind of tall, kind of chubby, kind of tired."

MORGANFIELD, Ky (WSIL) -- A Harrisburg, Illinois fugitive is in custody after a stand off in Western Kentucky.
Kentucky State Police say a fugitive barricaded himself inside a room at the Hometown Inn in Morganfield, KY Tuesday afternoon.
After a short standoff, the suspect was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals.
Police have not confirmed the identity of the fugitive yet.
The scene is now clear and the investigation is ongoing.
