MARION, ILLINOIS (WSIL) -- The Marion Police department needs your help after a home invasion where a woman is attacked.
The Marion Police Department responded to the area of North Granite Street and West Stockton Street for the report of a home invasion on April 3 at around 3:30 in the morning.
This is according to detectives in a press release on April 10.
Upon arriving, officers spoke to a woman who described a male suspect that she didn't know. According to her, the man came into her home through an open window and was armed.
The man had a knife and threatened to physically harm her before following through on his words. Those injuries did not require her to be taken to the hospital.
Detectives are asking residents who live in the area below to contact them if they noticed a person or vehicle that was suspicious during a five-hour time period.

That's from Friday, April 2 at 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Saturday, April 3.
They're also asking homeowners to check their video surveillance and see if it captured anyone walking or driving by during that same time frame.
