PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) -- Police need the public's help in locating a Murray, Kentucky man they said is charged in the Thursday shooting death of Thomas Wilett, 28.
In a press release Saturday, police said during the investigation of the shooting it was determined that Kahlil A. Griffin, 20, of Murray was the trigger man who fled from the scene of the crime.
Police said Griffin's whereabouts is not known and anyone with that information is urged to call Paducah Police at 270-444-8550 or your local police or sheriff's office. Citizens are urged not to approach Griffin, as he should be considered armed and dangerous.
He has known ties to Murray, LaCenter and Brookport, IL.
Police arrested Justin C. Wells, 25 of Cumberland Avenue shortly after the 3 p.m. Thursday shooting at the intersection of Elmdale Drive and Jameswood Drive, where Wilett was located.
Willett was taken to Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital where he died about two hours later, according to police.
Wells is charges with complicity to murder and tampering with physical evidence.
