HERRIN, IL (WSIL) -- A Williamson County man faces aggravated battery with a deadly weapon charges after shooting at a Herrin man.
Police tell News 3 they responded to a possible shooting on 8th street in Herrin just after 10 pm Friday.
They say 20-year-old Noah Street shot a pellet rifle at 29-year-old Bobby Sargent. Sargent was hit in his upper torso and the pellet hit his lung.
Police tell News 3 the shooting happened while Street was quote, "hunting" in the woods just east of Sargent's home. That's when Sargent confronted Street.
Sargent was treated at a local hospital.
