WOLF LAKE (WSIL) -- This week, students across the country are celebrating National FFA week.
Students at Shawnee Junior-Senior High School in Wolf Lake have marked the week with different activities like ag olympics, dress up days, and a teacher appreciation breakfast.
Agriculture Education teacher Kayla Riedle says FFA gives students a chance to experience and learn more about agriculture while growing personal skills.
"It really gives them the leadership qualities to not only help their peers, but also the youth within the community."
Reidle says the organization helps students advocate for agriculture, something she says is integral to everyone's everyday life.
