...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...

Big Muddy River near Murphysboro affecting Jackson County.

Big Muddy River near Plumfield affecting Franklin and Williamson
Counties.

.The Big Muddy River continues to rise due to heavy rain last week
and over the weekend. The river will crest on Thursday before
starting a very slow fall.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

forecast.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

- At 10:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 28.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 31.0
feet early Thursday morning.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
30.7 feet on 01/26/1949.

Fatal tractor fire under investigation

PERRY COUNTY, IL (WSIL) -- Investigators in Perry County, Illinois are trying to figure out what happened during a fatal tractor fire.

Perry County Coroner Paul Searby said first responders received a call just before 11 a.m. Monday in reference to a tractor fire on Panda Bear Road in Pyramid State Park.

Searby said the man was burned in the fire, however, an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday to find out more details about the death.

The victim's name is being withheld pending investigation and autopsy results.
