CAIRO, Ill. (WSIL) -- Tragic news out of Cairo where one person was found dead after a house fire.
The Cairo Fire Department tells News 3 they were called out to a house fire on Edgewood Park in Cairo on Thursday morning.
Fire crews arrived to find the back side of the home fully engulfed. Unfortunately, fire crews found an 80-year-old man deceased in the home.
Cairo Fire Chief John Meyer tells us the man was disabled.
The coroner and state fire marshal were called in and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
