Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and will continue.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 22.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday morning and continue falling to 14.0 feet Friday,
April 25.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Bald Knob Cross to Host Annual Easter Sunrise Service

ALTO PASS, Ill. (WSIL) -- Organizers are preparing for an annual Easter celebration -- that draws hundreds to our area.

The Bald Knob Cross of Peace in Alto Pass will host the 89th Annual Easter Sunrise Service. This annual service remains one of the longest standing traditions in the region.

This year's event will take place Sunday, April 20th at 6:30 a.m. with the gates opening at 5:00 a.m.

The service will feature prayer and worshiping, live music and local food vendors.
