HERRIN, Ill. (WSIL) -- Authorities in Williamson County said they recovered a stolen vehicle after they saw it parked off the road in Herrin on Friday.
The Williamson County Sheriff's Office said deputies were patrolling the area of 7th and Pine Street in Herrin on March 21, at 6:15 p.m. At this time, they said deputies saw the vehicle parked in some grass near the railroad tracks and didn't see it before then.
After checking of the registration on the vehicle, law enforcement said they learned it was reported stolen from Benton, Illinois. They then took the vehicle in to be processed for evidence.
