29-Year-Old Seriously Injured After Crash in Southeast Missouri

FREMONT, Mo. -- A 29-year-old was sent to the hospital with serious injuries after a crash on Wednesday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash happening at 1:02 p.m. on May 22, on US 60, roughly one mile west of Fremont in Carter County.

A 29-year-old from Oklahoma City was driving a 2004 Hyundai Elantra going east when the vehicle ran off the road and overturned, MSHP said in a crash report.

The driver was taken to the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

The Hyundai Elantra was reportedly totaled and towed from the scene.
