WAYNE COUNTY, Mo. -- An 88-year-old was seriously injured after being involved in a crash with two other vehicles on Wednesday in Wayne County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported it happened at 11:10 a.m. on January 10, along Route AA about three miles north of Piedmont.

William H. Roberts, 88 of Piedmont, was driving a 1999 Lexus GS300 going east when the vehicle ran off the right side of the road and crashed into a 2018 Ford F250 which was parked and partially in the roadway, MSHP said. The crash caused the F250 to then hit a 2004 Honda Pilot.

Roberts was then put in an ambulance and taken to the Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital with serious injuries.

The Lexus was towed from the scene with total damage. Both the F250 and the Honda Pilot had minor damage.
