Local Sheriff's Office Mourns Loss of Law Enforcement Officer

BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- A local law enforcement agency is mourning the loss of one of their own on Friday.

The Stoddard County Sheriff's Office stated their own Corporal Darren Dixon 885 died at his home on Friday, June 21.

Corporal Dixon was pronounced dead at his home at 11:07 a.m. by the Stoddard County Coroner, the sheriff's office detailed in a release.

Authorities said he served Stoddard County since 2020 and was 47 years old.
