HAYTI, Mo. (WSIL) -- A 21-year-old is dead after a car crash in southeast Missouri on Thursday.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) stated the crash happened at 5 a.m. on October 17, along Highway 84, roughly one mile west of Hayti.
MSHP reported Tyler Hightower, 21 of Kennett, was driving a 2018 Dodge Charger when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, hit an embankment and then overturned.
Hightower was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pemiscot County Coroner.
State police reported Hightower was not wearing a safety device.
This was reported as the 53rd death related to a crash in the southeast Missouri area for 2024.
