One seriously injured after two-vehicle crash near Sikeston

SIKESTON, Mo. -- One person was sent to the hospital with serious injuries after a two-vehicle crash in southeast Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) stated the crash happened at 8:45 a.m. on December 5, along Highway HH, about a mile north of Sikeston.

MSHP said a 28-year-old was driving a 2006 Kia Sorento, going east when the vehicle hit the rear part of a 2019 Ford F250. A 75-year-old was reportedly driving the F250.

Both of the drivers were from Sikeston.

The 28-year-old was sent to the hospital in Cape Girardeau with serious injuries.

The 2006 Kia Sorento had total damage and the 2019 Ford F250 had minor damage.
