Pedestrian sent to hospital with serious injuries after hit by truck

HAYTI, Mo. -- A pedestrian was sent to the hospital with serious injuries after she was hit by a pickup truck.

Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported the crash happened on February 20, at 6:20 p.m. along Route J, roughly four miles north of Hayti.

A 46-year-old man from Wardell was driving a 2019 GMC Sierra and traveling north on Route J when the vehicle struck a 38-year-old woman in the road, according to a MSHP crash report.

The woman was taken by an ambulance to the Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

The 2019 GMC Sierra was reported to have minor damage.
