CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- A suspect is sought by police after a shooting left one person in the hospital with injuries.
Cape Girardeau Police Department alerted the public that on December 18, at 2:45 p.m., officers responded to the 1900-block of Rock Creek Lane for a report of a shooting.
Police said they found out it was a domestic dispute between two people and that one person was shot.
The person with the gunshot wound was believed to have non-life threatening injuries and was treated on scene before taken to a hospital. The suspect fled the scene.
Police said they are looking for a black male, bald, with dark color clothing, a white ski mask, and black boots.
The Cape Girardeau Police Department said in a news release this appears to be an isolated incident, however, residents are encouraged to contact the Cape Girardeau Police Department if they see anyone who matches the description of the suspect.
The investigation is ongoing and are actively searching for the suspect.
