Upcoming Lane Restriction on I-55 in Cape Girardeau County for Guardrail Repairs

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- Motorists are to expect a lane restriction coming up next week in Cape Girardeau County along I-55.

The Missouri Department of Transportation alerted the public of some upcoming road work scheduled from July 22 through July 31 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily from the 110.6 mile marker through the 110.2 mile marker in the southbound lanes.

The southbound lanes of I-55 will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction as crews work on guardrail repairs.

Motorists are urged to use extreme caution traveling through this area. The work zone will also be marked with signs.
