Counties.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River for the next
week, dropping near to below flood stage by April 21.

For the Big Muddy River...including Plumfield, Murphysboro...
Moderate flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late Sunday evening and continue falling to 19.6 feet Monday,
April 21.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Today’s forecast will look much like yesterday’s, with most seeing dry weather. Some (especially in western Kentucky) have a small chance of seeing a pop up shower or thunderstorm. Otherwise, highs in the mid to upper 80’s and dew points in the 60’s will allow for a warm but comfortable afternoon. Monday should bring dry weather, but rain returns soon after.
