.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River for the next
week, dropping near to below flood stage by April 20.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

CARTERVILLE, IL (WSIL) -- Three dogs and one kitten are up for adoption in shelters across the region.

Luci is from a litter of 5, with her mom Liberty, at PAWS Adoption Center in Anna. Four of the kittens are Calico. Luci has what appears to be a heart on her side. She is shy and weighs about five pounds. Luci is spayed, microchipped, and has had her first two shots. Luci's adoption fee is $75.00.

Envy is about a year old and is heartworm negative, neutered, and very energetic. Envy loves to play and gets along with other dogs, but no cats. He will need to be fenced in and is up for adoption at Herrin Animal Control.

Cedar is a 1-year-old female Boxer-mix. She is good with other dogs and is heartworm negative. She's up for adoption at the City of Marion Animal Control.

Lastly is Ricky Bobby. He is a 2-year-old Pit-mix who is friendly, loves to run, and play. Call Jefferson County Animal Control in Mt. Vernon to learn more about him.
