CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- The cats outnumber the dogs in this edition of Pets of the Week.

Noir is a 2-year-old Domestic Short Haired Tortie who enjoys sunbathing, playing with toys, scratching her posts, and anything related to food. You can get to know her at the Humane Society of ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Illinois in Murphysboro.

Duke is a Spaniel/Lab mix who is 11-years-old, but he still likes to play and go on walks. Duke weighs 50-pounds and would love to be your buddy. He loves attention, is loyal, has a great personality, and gets along with other dogs. You can find him at the Perry County Humane Society in Du Quoin.

Cooper is a loving dog who wants to be next to you at all times. He is good with other dogs and chases the cats but doesn't hurt them. You can call Wayne County Humane Society in Fairfield for more about Cooper.

Nickol is a cat with beautiful green eyes and a stare that will have you in a trance. You can call Finding Forever Animal Rescue in Marion to get the details.

Two kittens are up for adoption at Jefferson County Animal Control in Mt Vernon. The pair are brother and sister and 3-months-old, so they'll be fun to play with this Summer.

Luka is a Heeler/Border Collie mix who is about a year old. He weighs just under 40-pounds and is neutered, up to date on vaccines, micro-chipped, and heartworm negative. He can be adopted from Saving Grace Canine Book Camp in Mt. Vernon.
