...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Peak heat index values of 100 to 105.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ this evening.

* IMPACTS...Prolonged hot temperatures and high humidity may
cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out
of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early
morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat
exhaustion and heat stroke.

The St. Louis Cardinals Caravan coming to Marion

Marion Cultural and Civic Center

MARION, Ill. -- Members of the St. Louis Cardinals are coming to Marion.

The team's caravan will stop by the Marion Cultural and Civic Center on Sunday, Jan. 14 at noon. Doors will open one hour prior at 11:00 a.m., and entry is free. 

Current members of the team Alec Burleson, Drew Rom, Tink Hence and Sem Robberse will be in attendance along with former players Jason Simontacchi and Xavier Scruggs.

Attendees 15-years-of-age or younger may line up for autographs from the team. These will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.Â
