below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

- At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 23.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday morning and continue falling to 15.1 feet Thursday,
April 24.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

CARBONDALE, IL (WSIL) -  There were plenty of cheers on Friday from Saluki fans and alumni at Buffalo Wild Wings in Carbondale.

Saluki fans gather for watch party for SIU's NCAA Regional game

They all gathered at a watch party for Friday's game. Fans were locked in watching as SIU earned its first NCAA tournament victory since 2019.

Roughly 50 people were showing their support for the maroon and white. The restaurant was rocking once the Salukis made the last out.

This victory is especially notable as the Salukis lost their last five regional games.

"I am almost surprised at how many people showed up this afternoon today because of the time change and everything, but I am thrilled that we have this many people here," Kay Wissmann said.

The Salukis moved on to the winner's bracket against #9 nationally ranked LSU.
