...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/
FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Daily heat index values up to 106.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Friday.

* IMPACTS...Prolonged exposure to hot temperatures and high humidity
may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Salukis in contention for MVC Championship

WSIL � SIU is just a shot off the lead heading into the final round of the MVC Women’s Golf Championship being held at Sand Creek Country Club in Chesterton, Indiana.

After bad weather postponed the opening round Sunday, the teams played 36 holes on Monday.

The Salukis (+23) have five golfers in the top 16 individually and trail Drake (+22) by a single stroke heading into Tuesday’s final 18 holes.

Missouri State (+31) is third, a shot ahead of Bradley (+32) and Loyola (+32).

Indiana State (+33) and Northern Iowa (+36) are still in striking distance, as 14 strokes separates the top seven teams.
