CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (WSIL) -- A southeast Missouri man faces gun and assault charges after police say he was involved in a shooting incident.
The Cape Girardeau Police Department said on August 19, at around 6:45 a.m., officers responded to the 200-block of S. Pacific Street for a shots fired report.
Police said two victims at the scene told them they saw two black males on the property and told them to leave.
As the two males were leaving the property, police said one of them, identified as Jac'quez Jackson, 26 of Jackson, took out a gun and fired it at the victims.
Later on August 19, a warrant was issued through the Cape Girardeau County Prosecutor's Office for Jac'quez for a 1st degree felony assault charge and a felony unlawful possession of a firearm charge.
Multiple agencies then began searching for Jackson.
On September 26, at around 6:30 p.m., police said they found Jackson at a home in the 700-block of William Street.
Jackson was taken to the Cape Girardeau Police Department and is being held on a no-bond warrant. for the two charges.
