Stolen vehicle recovered, one faces charges, authorities say

CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) -- A man was arrested in connection to a stolen vehicle investigation.

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office said their deputies saw a reported stolen vehicle going east on Illinois Route 13 near Wolf Creek Road, with the driver later identified as Dustin Haynes.

Haynes was pulled over and arrested. The sheriff's office said the vehicle was reported stolen out of Union County, Illinois.

Haynes was cited with the following charges...

  • Possession Of Stolen Vehicle - Class 2 Felony
  • Driving While License Revoked - Class A Misdemeanor
  • No Valid Driver’s License - Class A Misdemeanor

Haynes was then taken to the Williamson County Jail.
