HERRIN, Ill. -- The Herrin City Library will host a book talk and signing for a local author.Â
Michaelann Stanley is a long-time resident of southern Illinois and a foreign language teacher. Her book, titled Herrin's Italian History... More than Spaghetti & Meatballs! takes a look at the community's cultural history.Â
Stanley's book is a compilation of interviews and family stories from her students between 1994 and 2004. Stanley hopes it will engage and inform readers of all backgrounds, and serve as a valuable resource for southern Illinois historians.Â
The event will take place Friday, March 15th at 2:00 p.m. It's free and open to the public.
