CARBONDALE (WSIL) -- The five final candidates for president of New Mexico State University, including SIU chancellor, Ausin Lane, have been denied.
After a national search, the school announced Lane is one of five finalists for the position in February of 2024.Â
New Mexico State Board of Regents' chairwoman says -- she did not believe any of the finalists fully meets the needs of the university at this critical juncture. In the meantime, the university says they'll select an interim president while they undergo more searches.
