Former Saluki heads to Olympic finals

PARIS -- A former Saluki has qualified for the Women's Hammer Throw Finals. 

Deanna Price competed Sunday afternoon in the Women's Hammer Throw Qualification rounds. She managed to place second in her group, earning a distance of 73.79. 

Price will compete in the finals on Tuesday, Aug. 6 at 12:57 p.m. CST. 

Elsewhere in Paris, former Saluki Celia Pulido swam for Mexico in the Women's 100M Backstroke. She came in seventh place with a time of 1:01.10. 

Still to compete is Raven Saunders. She will participate in the qualifying round for the Women's Shot Put on Thursday, Aug. 8 at 3:25 p.m. Should she qualify, she will be in the final round on Friday, Aug. 9 at 12:37 p.m.
