CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- We saw a brief break from some of the rain today, but it won't be long before it moves back in. Our next system arrives overnight, some areas are already seeing fog and a light drizzle.

Rain will begin after midnight, moving in from the southwest becoming widespread through Saturday morning. Off and on rain will stick around throughout the entire day, making for a soggy Saturday. An additional 0.25"-1" is expected, with the higher totals through western Kentucky, the Missouri bootheel and northwest Tennessee.

Temperatures will continue to be fairly mild. Highs both Saturday and Sunday will top out in the low to mid 40s. Sunday looks to be a drier but cloudy day.

Above average temperatures stick around through next week, with the potential for some sunshine!
