WSIL -- Happy Friday! It's the final day of the persistent, stubbornly wet pattern!
First off, fog is an issue, especially in southwest Illinois and southeast Missouri. Use CAUTION heading out this morning as visibility is down to less than a quarter of a mile in some areas.
An upper-level system that has plagued the region with heavy downpours. That system has now shifted a hair further to the east, which will likely also shift the rain chances mainly into southeastern Illinois and western Kentucky.
Similar to the last few days, storms that develop will likely produce a lot of lightning and very heavy rain.
