CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- Patchy fog early Monday morning will diminish by 10 a.m. The big story this week is the unseasonably warm temperatures expected through Thursday.
A big upper-level ridge will take hold over the Central U.S. keeping the Midwest quiet and very warm by late December standards. Monday afternoon temperatures will peak in the upper 50s, but by Tuesday afternoon, 60s will be common area wide.
Christmas Day will likely be the warmest day of the week with low to mid 60s likely.
